  • The closest international airport is only a 2 hour drive from Brandon.  We will arrange to have you picked up at the airport when you arrive at no extra cost to you, and then help you get settled back in Brandon.
  • We will discuss all requirements with you before you arrive to be sure that once you get to Canada, you have all the necessary paperwork and information.  We will assist you in any way we can in helping to make your transition smooth – and to help get you started as soon as possible.

We welcome all international students – and you will be able to obtain your pilot license in one of the most beautiful parts of the country.  It will be an experience you will always remember, and we will do our best to make sure that you enjoy every moment of your stay with us.

Important Information You Need To Know:

  • If the course that you are coming to Canada to take is less than 6 months in duration, you do not normally need a student visa.
  • There are some countries which require a visitor’s visa when coming to Canada (go to this site for the complete list) which you can get through a Canadian embassy nearby, travel agent or the Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s Website

If you require a student visa – meaning that your course will last longer than 6 months – you need to start the paperwork as soon as possible.  It can take anywhere 6-8 weeks up to 3 months to process the paperwork.

Here is some important information to help get you started:

  • The first thing you should do is head over to the Citizenship and Immigration Student Visa website They have a ton of information that you need to look through, as well as some PDF guides for you to download and read.
  • You need to go to the page with the applications to study in Canada, located here – http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/student.asp
  • At the bottom of the page, there are some guides for you to download and read through, including an Instruction Guide (IMM 5269), an Application For A Study Permit (IMM 1294), and a Document Checklist (IMM 5483).
  • You will require a letter of acceptance from us (original document), which we will arrange to have sent to you however you would like it.  We can usually let you know within 24-48 hours whether we can accept you for training with us during the specified time you have applied for.
  • Also, during this time make sure that you have made your appointment for your medical exam if it is required.  You can find a list of doctors who can perform the required medical exam needed by country by going here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medical.aspx
  • You will also be required to provide proof of funding.  To study in Canada, officials need to be sure that you have the money to be able to provide for accommodations and other necessities while studying over here.

We realize that there is a more in-depth application process for our international students, which is why we will work with you every step of the way to help you get all your paperwork and information in order.

There is so much information provided through the Immigration and Study website, that it can get overwhelming.  Rest assured, that we are here to help make this process as simple as we can.

Once accepted into our program, we will begin working on getting your accommodations arranged, as well as assist you in the other areas you will need help with.  We will go out of our way to help in any way we can – from the minute you decide to take your training with us, until the time you arrive in Canada – and all the way through your time with us.
